Election Results

elections

Congratulations to all the candidates who won their races on Tuesday! We have two new incoming Commissioners as well as new mayors, city council members, and legislators in District 1.

Please visit the Minnesota Secretary of State website for the full results of the 2022 election. You can sort results in a variety of ways, including by county, municipality, House/Senate district, and more.

The Ramsey County Canvassing Board, of which I'm a member, will meet on Friday to review and certify the results or order and administer a recount, if necessary.

Ramsey County has launched the new Job Connect online job board to connect residents and employers during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. This employment platform is the latest tool integrated within the county’s economic development website, RamseyCountyMeansBusiness.com, which provides business development resources and incentives.

Ramsey Connected logo

Ramsey Connected is an initiative designed to ensure all Ramsey County residents have access to low-cost internet and computers and the skills to use them.

Ramsey County believes internet access is a basic need and low-cost internet should be available to all residents. While Ramsey County is not an internet service provider, we serve as a promoter, connector and partner through our Ramsey Connected program.

Lexington Avenue Construction Update

lane closed picture
  • Traffic will move to the correct lanes by the end of next week, including the reopening of Grey Fox Road.
  • There will be intermittent lane closures to allow for relocating power poles, signing and striping, and traffic signal work. Traffic may be limited to a single lane in each direction to allow for signal construction at Target Road. This work will hopefully last no more than a few weeks.
  • Other signals in the corridor will be operational as temporary signals for the winter. The majority of movements will be allowed.
  • Lexington will be down to a single lane southbound at the rail crossing. There is a small piece of bituminous pavement that needs to be placed to allow for 2 lanes.  Ramsey County is working with the railroad to establish a date to get this piece completed.
  • A dedicated left turn lane will be back in place for southbound Lexington to eastbound 694.
  • The trail along the east side in Shoreview will remain gravel for the winter. The City of Shoreview has stated that they will do snow removal on what they can in this area.

For more information on the project please visit the Ramsey County webpage.

While construction is happening, remember to keep supporting our Lexington Ave businesses.
