Cast your ballot for the general election

2022 election day

The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 8. Polling places in Ramsey County will be open from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Voters must vote at their assigned polling place on Election Day.

You may register to vote in person on Election Day at your polling place. To register, you must show photo ID and proof of residence.


Absentee voting

If you want to vote before election day, in-person absentee voting is available through Nov. 7 at the Ramsey County Elections Office and Ramsey County Library in Roseville. You can vote at either location, regardless of your home address. Voters can also cast their absentee ballot by mail.

Veterans benefits guidance available

Veterans services

Veterans Day is Friday, Nov. 11. Approximately 25,000 veterans live in Ramsey County – thank you for your service!

Ramsey County Veterans Services provides guidance and assistance to veterans, their dependents and survivors in applying for local, state and federal veterans benefits.

Next steps in the 2023 supplemental budget process

Ramsey County property owners will receive their 2023 Proposed Property Tax Notices in mid-November. This notice estimates the amount of taxes property owners will pay in 2023 if the county, cities, school districts and other taxing jurisdictions approve their respective budget proposals.

Nov. 28 public hearing on 2023 supplemental budget

A public hearing on the county's proposed 2023 supplemental budget and 2023 property tax levy will be held Monday, Nov. 28 at the Ramsey County Library in Roseville. The hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Assistance available for first-time and first-generation homebuyers

FirstHome - CED

The FirstHome program assists first-time buyers and first-generation homebuyers with low-to-moderate incomes who are purchasing homes in suburban Ramsey County communities. 

These loans can be used for down payment assistance, closing costs and, occasionally, health, safety or code improvements.

Updated (bivalent) boosters now available at county clinics

Free updated boosters are available for everyone 12 years and older who completed their primary COVID-19 vaccination series or received a booster dose at least two months ago. Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines and get an updated booster now.

Downtown Service Center moving locations in Metro Square

Service Center - Downtown Saint Paul is moving to a bigger suite with expanded services on Nov. 7. 

Operations at Roseville and Maplewood Service Center locations will continue unchanged.

Free pumpkin disposal at county yard waste sites

Looking to get rid of your pumpkins, corn stalks or hay bales? Bring items to a free county yard waste site. Pumpkins should be free of candles, paint, glitter or other decorations. Please put all items in the leaf piles, not the organics recycling bin.

Purchase your cross-country ski passes for the 2022-23 season

All-access cross-country ski season passes are on sale for $80. This pass will give access to the new trails at Battle Creek Regional Park West, the first winter recreation area with machine-made snow in the East Metro.

The natural snow season pass, which does not include machine-made snow trails, are also on sale for $30
