Waterworks and Beaches Open

Battle Creek Waterworks and our nine county swimming beaches are open for the summer. They are a wonderful place to cool off and have fun now that warmer weather has returned.

Waterworks and our beaches are open daily, weather permitting. Lifeguard services are not provided at county beaches.

Free Summer Fun at Ramsey County Parks

In addition to our parks and trails, Parks & Recreation is offering a variety of free outdoor activities for all ages this summer!

This is the perfect time to try your hand at archery, experience ice skating in the summer, pull weeds and learn about gardening, discover new trails on a bike and more.

Highland and Aldrich Arena Community Engagement

Parks & Recreation is working to advance the 21st Century Parks vision by engaging with community members regarding their experiences and recommendations for facility and programming improvements to Aldrich and Charles M. Schulz - Highland Arenas.

National Association of Counties Award

Ramsey County has received a 2022 Achievement Award from the National Association of Counties (NACo) for its aquatic invasive species Clean In, Clean Out program. The program guides watercraft operators through a quick and complete check of their watercraft for aquatic invasive species before it's put in the water and when it's taken out.

Island Lake Mini Golf Course Restoration

The mini golf course at Island Lake is being restored and will open for the first time in more than a decade! Restoration work continues for a couple more weeks. Watch our Facebook page in June for restoration updates and grand opening date.

If mini golf isn't your thing, our four golf courses offer leagues, lessons, junior programs and more.

Extended Building Hours at Tamarack Nature Center

Come play, learn and explore inside and outside! The building at Tamarack is now open every day except county holidays.

Monday-Saturday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday: Noon to 4 p.m.
