Boosters available for children ages 5-11

COVID-19 booster and vaccine graphic

Children ages 5 years and older are now eligible for a booster if it has been at least five months since their second dose of Pfizer.

Everyone should get a booster for longer protection against the worst outcomes of COVID-19. Use this guide from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to determine when it’s time for you or your child to get a booster.

In-person absentee voting begins in June

Vote by absentee ballot

The state primary is Tuesday, Aug. 9. In-person absentee voting begins Friday, June 24. All voters can vote early by absentee ballot in Minnesota. No excuse or reason is needed.

Your precinct and representatives may have changed due to state and local redistricting this spring. Earlier this year, the county board established new commissioner districts – learn more about redistricting.

Construction underway to expand and improve winter recreation area

Construction has begun in the Battle Creek Winter Recreation Area. Updates include snowmaking for a 3.25 km lighted cross-country ski loop, a .75 km practice loop, a sledding hill and an equipment and maintenance facility.

Reducing Revocations Challenge seeks community members

Workgroups are being formed for this project by Community Corrections that seeks to understand the drivers of probation revocations and identify ways to reduce them.
