Hello all,
As the school year winds down and we look forward to summer, it is a good moment to reflect. I especially appreciate that May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to check in with ourselves, our loved ones, and our neighbors to see how they're doing. Mental Health Awareness helps us to fight the stigma around mental health, support each other, and advocate for policies that can make a difference. Mental health has become an even more crucially important issue as we continue to feel the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic. For information on mental and behavioral health services available at Ramsey County, click here.
Ramsey County is starting to return to in-person meetings. Our board meetings are taking place in the County Board offices in the Ramsey County Courthouse. My office continues to serve constituent needs via phone (651-266-8359) or email (caitlyn.duin@ramseycounty.us).
Sincerely,
Mary Jo

Ramsey County Board supports Embedded Social Workers in Local Police Departments
At Ramsey County, we continue to innovate and work to better support our residents' mental health. One exciting area of innovation is our Embedded Social Worker Program in the Maplewood and Roseville police departments. This collaborative between Ramsey County and local police departments provides them with the alternative of sending a social worker to mental health calls. The Embedded Social Worker can provide case management that supports individuals and preserves resources by decreasing the number of crises. This is just one example of many ways we are working to support residents' mental health!
