We are looking forward to an exciting new year. In addition to her previous committees, Commissioner Frethem now has the pleasure to serve on several new boards and committees:

- County-Court Joint Committee
- Court House/City Hall Committee
- Law Library Trustee
- Metro Mosquito Control Commission
- Suburban Ramsey Family Collaborative – Joint Powers Board (starting Summer 2022)
On January 6th, Commissioner Frethem was sworn into the Metropolitan Mosquito Control Commission and elected Secretary for 2022.
The revised Parks Ordinance has been completed by the Parks Department. The Board of Commissioners have scheduled the public hearing for the revised Parks Ordinance for Tuesday, February 8th at 9:00 a.m. If you would like to speak at the public hearing, please register in advance here, or by calling the Chief Clerk's Office at 651-266-8014.

Omicron remains the dominant covid-19 strain in the U.S. Ramsey County Public Health recommends getting tested, or self-testing on a regular basis. Ramsey County will be expanding testing capacity beginning next week and will offer community-based PCR testing beginning January 27th.

All Minnesotans 5 years and older are now eligible for vaccine.
