Tamarack Nature Center: Trails groomed Feb. 18 and in good condition. Trails have excellent coverage but tracks are not well set due to heavy use, which may affect skiability. 

Battle Creek Regional Park East: Trails groomed Feb. 19 and in good condition.

Battle Creek Regional Park West: Trails groomed Feb. 19 and in good condition.

Vadnais-Sucker Lakes: Trails groomed Feb. 18 and in good condition.

Grass Lake: Trails groomed Feb. 18 and in good condition.

A Minnesota State Ski Pass is required to ski on all trails for skiers age 16 and above. Due to COVID, Tamarack Nature Center is not selling daily ski passes on site this year.

Trail rating guide

• Excellent: Track freshly set or in similar condition with consistent base. No bare spots. No ice.
• Good: Track in condition near to freshly set. Some bare spots not seriously affecting skiability. Some icy spots.
• Fair: Track beginning to deteriorate, some areas of track obliterated. Some bare spots beginning to affect skiability. Icy spots beginning to affect skiability.
• Poor: Track deteriorated over much of trail. Lots of bare spots. Icy spots beginning to affect skiability.
• Closed: Lack of snow or dangerously icy or extremely cold conditions.

The Winter Recreation Sampler is back on! Bundle up and join us for kicksledding, snowshoeing, sledding and other outdoor fun at  Keller Regional Park's Golfview area February 19–21. Equipment will be available to check out for free. Learn more.

Rent equipment at Tamarack through Feb. 28

The Winter Recreation Rental Shack at Tamarack Nature Center has been busy, and while the season is winding down, it's not over yet! Make plans to reserve snowshoe or cross-country ski packages and hit the trails. Rentals will be available through February 28, dependent on ski trail, weather and snow conditions.
