COVID-19 updates

State updates vaccination timeline

COVID-19 vaccination timeline

COVID-19 vaccination timeline

Minnesota is continuing to immunize those at highest risk of getting COVID-19, as well as those most at risk of severe disease and complications if they become infected. The vaccine is currently available to adults aged 65+, health care workers, educators and child care staff. The state of Minnesota has said that by this summer, everyone who wants a shot will be able to get one.

Minnesota's new COVID-19 Vaccine Connector is available for all residents who have not been vaccinated. Whether you are eligible for a vaccine now or later – the Vaccine Connector will notify you when you it’s your turn for a shot.

Sign up to be notified when you become eligible to get the vaccine.

Families encouraged to get tested every two weeks

Saliva testing

Testing for COVID-19 is an important strategy in slowing the spread of the virus. The state of Minnesota is recommending that schoolchildren and their families get tested for COVID-19 every two weeks as more students return to the classroom.

This recommendation applies to children that leave home for learning, youth sports or extracurricular activities.

The state is offering free saliva testing at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in Saint Paul. Testing is available seven days a week and free to all Minnesotans who believe they need a COVID-19 test, including those who are asymptomatic.

No-cost at-home COVID-19 saliva testing is also available.
