Celebrate Labor Day safely
Informal gatherings are still a contributing factor to the spread of COVID-19 in Minnesota. Do your part to reduce the spread by celebrating safely this holiday weekend:
1. Stay small and sanitized
Barbecues are a staple in Labor Day celebrations. You can host a smaller backyard gathering (no more than 25 people) and keep the party outdoors to ensure social distancing. You can also limit the amount of shared items by not sharing serving utensils and by using individually-packaged items, when possible.
2. Be flexible
Visiting a local beach or park may not be possible this year. Do your research ahead of time to ensure your plan is safe and can be easily adjusted.
3. Wear a mask
Minnesotans are required to wear a face covering in all public indoor spaces and indoor businesses. You should also wear a mask whenever you can’t maintain at least six feet of distance between you and others.
