Redesigned Service Centers now open with in-person assistance, computer access
Five redesigned Service Centers are now open to provide more convenient and accessible access to programs for residents. The centers feature Navigators who provide comprehensive in-person assistance with enrollment information connections to county programs. Service Centers also have computer workstations available by reservation and secure 24/7 document drop boxes.
The newly redesigned Service Centers provide residents with more accessible connections to all county programs. Residents may visit any center and do not need to travel to a specific building for certain services.
All Service Centers are open from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. weekdays and are located at existing county buildings. Downtown Saint Paul, Maplewood and Roseville locations also feature Community Career Labs to assist job seekers who have been impacted by COVID-19.

Small Business Relief Fund application deadline Aug. 21
Ramsey County continues to provide emergency assistance to small local businesses adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Apply now for a second round of grants providing up to $10,000 to small businesses, self-employed entrepreneurs and members of the local creative community to help cover critical expenses.
The deadline is tomorrow, Aug. 21, at 5 p.m.

BizRecycling Relief Grants
BizRecycling helps businesses in Ramsey and Washington counties reduce waste, improve recycling and better manage food waste. The program works with businesses of all sizes and types: restaurants, offices, apartment buildings, schools, clinics, golf courses, warehouses and more.
Through BizRecycling, Ramsey/Washington Recycling & Energy has allocated funding to support small businesses that are facing financial hardship as the result of COVID-19, recent civil unrest or the economic downturn.
One-time grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded to eligible businesses for operational expenses related to managing waste and recycling effectively.

Business4Business Minneapolis-Saint Paul to help small businesses impacted by COVID-19
A broad alliance of Twin Cities counties, chambers of commerce, community development agencies and other partners have launched Business4Business Minneapolis-Saint Paul (B4B MSP), a regional coalition that aims to build a local support network to help small businesses survive and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges facing our small business community.
The B4B MSP coalition will connect small businesses harmed by COVID-19 with local resources from public agencies and private sector partners, including technical and financial assistance to provide immediate relief and boost long-term recovery efforts.

Dislocated Worker services
Have you lost your job due to the COVID-19 pandemic? Help may be available through the county’s dislocated worker program. Services are designed to help people who have been laid off through no fault of their own get back to work as quickly as possible.
Services for eligible people include:
- Career planning and counseling.
- Job search assistance.
- Connections to employers hiring now.
- Counselor-approved training.
- Other support services.

The Families First Housing Pilot provides Saint Paul families a $300 monthly rent supplement and ongoing supportive services for three years, in partnership with the Saint Paul Public Schools.

A Mask for Everyone seeking donations

A new initiative – A Mask for Everyone – is underway to ensure that individuals and families have access to cloth face masks to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Led by the county’s COVID-19 Racial Equity and Community Engagement Response Team the program will prioritize distributing homemade cloth masks to racially, ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
Mask donations are currently being accepted to help fulfill as many mask requests as possible. Community members can donate new, unused masks by mail or at several sites across the county.

COVID-19 testing appointments full, wait list available
Appointments are full for the remaining weekend testing Saint Paul - Ramsey Public Health and community partners are offering at Aldrich Arena and Washington Technology Magnet School in August. Community members can register for a waitlist and will receive a text message if a slot opens up.
