Ramsey County launches new interactive job board
Ramsey County has launched the new Job Connect online job board to connect residents and employers during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. This employment platform is the latest tool integrated within the county’s economic development website, RamseyCountyMeansBusiness.com, which provides business development resources and incentives.
Job Connect has many unique features including the ability to search for jobs by transit accessibility, keyword and location using an interactive map. The job board highlights major industries in Ramsey County including healthcare, technology, manufacturing, construction and more.

Emergency assistance available for rent and utilities
Emergency assistance is also available through Ramsey County for those who are experiencing interruptions in their income and having trouble paying for rent, mortgage or utilities.

Face covering requirements
Beginning July 25, Minnesotans are required to wear a face covering in all public indoor spaces and indoor businesses. Face coverings are to be worn in addition to other prevention measures, such as social distancing and proper hand hygiene.

Countywide policy
The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners approved an updated countywide policy requiring visitors to wear face coverings in any building owned, leased or managed by Ramsey County. County employees have been required to wear masks since June 22, 2020. Visitors seeking county services will not be turned way for not having a mask. Reusable or disposable masks will be provided. Visitors to Ramsey County facilities failing to comply with this policy are subject to immediate removal from the premises.

Ramsey County under excessive heat warning July 24
An excessive heat warning is in effect for Ramsey County from noon - 9 p.m. on Friday, July 24. Dangerously hot and humid conditions are expected. Outdoor air temperatures may feel as hot as 101 degrees. Residents should check on relatives, neighbors, seniors and others with health conditions that are vulnerable to extreme heat, to make sure they are staying hydrated and safe.

Investment & Support Efforts (CARES Funding)
In April, Ramsey County received $96 million from the federal government through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
Beginning in June, $56 million of these funds will be rapidly invested in our community through the Ramsey County Investment and Support Efforts (RISE) program, which includes three primary categories:
- Home and help: housing, food and financial assistance for struggling individuals and families.
- Training and jobs: resources for those who have lost their jobs or need help with employment.
- Small business: support for small businesses to stay open and adapt.
The remaining $40 million will be used to cover emergency expenses including public safety, direct care, public health and many other areas to meet the needs of the community.

Medical Reserve Corps seeking volunteers
The Medical Reserve Corps of Ramsey County (RCMRC) is a countywide resource of health professionals and other volunteers who strengthen our community by preparing for and responding to public health and related emergencies. The RCMRC is looking for volunteers to fill a variety of roles. Training will be provided.
