Ramsey County Sheriff’s Deputies Respond to Shooting at White Bear Lake Boat Launch
Father and five-year-old daughter both shot; Sheriff’s Office investigating
Saint Paul, Minnesota: On Monday, June 8, 2020 at approximately 4:30 pm, Ramsey County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a “shots fired” call at Ramsey Beach in White Bear Lake. While Deputies were en route, an adult male called 9-1-1 stating he and his daughter were both shot and he was driving to a hospital for medical attention.
Deputies responded and determined the shooting occurred near the boat launch parking area of the county park. At the scene, Deputies ensured everyone was safe, interviewed potential witnesses, and collected evidence. Deputies interviewed the adult victim at a local hospital and are currently pursuing all leads. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 651-266-7320. The 24-year-old adult male was a victim of a non-life threating gunshot wound. His five-year-old daughter is in serious, but stable condition.
The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the White Bear Lake Police Department. The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office is investigating this case as the incident occurred in a county park. This case remains under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
