Keep Recycling
While you're doing your part to help slow the spread of COVID-19, you can also do your part for the planet and keep recycling.
Please follow your regular recycling schedule, and contact your city or your hauler for questions about your recycling service.
Do not put gloves, masks or medical tubing in your recycling cart. They belong in the trash.
For questions about what can be recycled, visit RamseyRecycles.com/GeneralRecycling, or call our 24/7 hotline at 651-633-EASY (3279).

Be Counted in the 2020 Census
The U.S. Census Bureau has taken many precautions against the spread of COVID-19. Learn more about them here.
As the 2020 census gets closer, Ramsey County is working to make sure all residents are counted. Census data affects how federal and state funding is distributed for programs like highway planning and construction, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP and more. In addition, that same data helps governments, community leaders and nonprofit organizations identify needs for assistance with healthcare, education, housing, food and more.
Ramsey County Environmental Health uses the census data to strategize ways to reach diverse communities, providing equitable programs and services for all. Be sure you are counted in the 2020 census!

Feedback Needed for New Recycling Outreach Program
Ramsey County is developing a Recycling Ambassador program, and we’re asking residents to provide input by taking a brief survey.
Through a series of workshops, participants of the Recycling Ambassador program will learn more about reducing waste through recycling, repair and reuse. They will learn about the solid waste management and recycling system in the East Metro, including yard waste, food scraps and household hazardous waste collection.
After completing the training, participants will actively engage communities, serve as the voice for using waste as a resource, champion equity and environmental justice, and promote risk reduction in alignment with Ramsey County’s goals and program strategies.
