Community Conversation on Water Issues

Commissioner Frethem will be hosting a community meeting to open a conversation about the flooding issues in and around Shoreview. Local agencies and governments with water authority will have the opportunity to inform residents of the actions being taken regarding this issue. Following a presentation about the history of water issues, residents will be able to engage in an open discussion to be heard and get their questions answered. The meeting will be held at the Shoreview Community Center on March 12th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

On January 23rd, Ramsey County Parks Department held a community engagement meeting at Ramsey County Library in Shoreview to discuss the flooding around Snail Lake and the Parks department plans to rebuild for resiliency. Commissioner Frethem appreciates the neighbors who turned out to share their ideas on how the park could be adapted to address the excess water.
