Reminder: I-694 closed this weekend from Snelling Avenue to Rice Street

I-694 will be closed in both directions starting at 10 p.m. tonight, June 28, for work on the I-694/Rice Street interchange reconstruction. 

The road will reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. Monday.

During the closure, crews will install support beams on the west side of the Rice Street bridge over I-694 and the new eastbound I-694 exit ramp to Rice Street.

Detours

Motorists on I-694 should follow the posted detours using I-35E, Highway 36 and I-35W.

Please plan ahead for additional travel time and use an alternate route when possible.

Rice Street will remain open to traffic. Earlier this week, Rice Street reopened to traffic in both directions between Vadnais Boulevard and Gramsie Road.
