Ramsey County Library's summer learning program begins June 1!
The program is designed to inspire and encourage children of all ages to read, explore, create and discover throughout the summer. Kids ages 4 through 19 can participate.
To celebrate the start of the program, the Library will host their annual festival on Saturday, June 8 at the library in Roseville. There will be a celebration for all ages from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. with musical guests, crafts and activities, followed by a program just for teens from 4-7 p.m. that will turn the Library into an escape room and hangout space.

Road maintenance season has arrived. Ramsey County will lead or participate in dozens of construction and maintenance projects during 2019.
Work is already underway on select projects, and several projects are scheduled to ramp up in mid-June, including County Road C reconstruction in Roseville, work on Larpenteur Avenue and the I-694/Rice Street interchange.

Lifeguard services at guarded county beaches begin Saturday, June 8. Lifeguards will be on duty daily from noon - 8 p.m.
The swimming areas at county beaches opened, without lifeguard services, on May 25.

Battle Creek Waterworks opens for the summer June 8. Waterworks will be open daily from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Standard admission is $7. Twilight and Tot Tuesday rates are available during select hours.
Autism-friendly hour every Sunday at Waterworks beginning Sunday, June 16 from 10-11 a.m.

Key dates have been set for a special election to fill the office of Ramsey County Commissioner representing District 1 following the resignation of Commissioner Blake Huffman.
The district represents the cities of Arden Hills, Gem Lake, North Oaks, Shoreview, Vadnais Heights, White Bear Township and parts of Mounds View, Spring Lake Park and Blaine. The current term expires in 2020.
Residents of District 1 can file an affidavit of candidacy from June 4 - 18, 2019.

Get involved and get paid to help with the 2020 census. Census takers with language skills in Somali, Hmong, Spanish and Karen are especially needed.
