A winter storm warning is in effect for Ramsey County from noon on Saturday, March 9 to 7 a.m. on Sunday, March 10. Snowfall totals of 7 to 12 inches are expected.
Our Public Works staff work tirelessly with our partners to keep our extensive infrastructure system well-maintained:
The recent record-breaking snowfall has also created an increased risk of major flooding this spring. Many homes and apartments that have never experienced flooding may have issues this year. Flooding can happen along creeks and streams, low-lying areas, drainage ditches, lakes or anywhere snow melts too quickly.
Emergency Management & Homeland Security encourages homeowners, renters and businesses to review their current insurance policies and consider adding flood coverage. The time to act is now; there's a 30-day period before policies go into effect.
Visit the FloodSmart website for additional information.
Property tax statements and valuation notices will be mailed to Ramsey County property owners in mid-March.
Tax statements show your property tax value, the amount of taxes due and when they are due.
Valuation notices include your property classification, estimated market value and taxable market value, which is used to determine property taxes payable in 2020.

Please review your valuation notice carefully. If you believe there is an error, now is the time to appeal or question your classification or valuation. The first step is to contact the Assessor’s Office about your questions or concerns at 651-266-2131.
The lifesaving PulsePoint mobile app is now available in Ramsey County!
The app sends alerts to CPR-trained citizens about nearby sudden cardiac arrest victims in public locations so they can administer aid until responders arrive.
If you’re trained in CPR, please consider downloading this free app today – every second counts when someone suffers sudden cardiac arrest. In 2018, Ramsey County 911 telecommunicators received about 60 calls where PulsePoint could have been used to alert trained bystanders.
