The Ponds at Battle Creek solar ribbon cutting

Energy and economic efficiency are top priorities in Ramsey County and the unveiling of new solar panels is just the beginning of the county’s effort to integrate resources for renewable energy. Dignitaries will proudly showcase the solar site at The Ponds at Battle Creek golf course on Friday, October 26, while providing a detailed account of another solar array recently installed at the Ramsey County Parks & Recreation administrative site.

Free open skate and open hockey for MEA

Sharpen your skating skills or just get out on the ice for some exercise! We're offering activities at Vadnais Sports Center and Highland Arena this week for the MEA fall break.

Bruce Vento Trail extension Q&A

Ramsey County Parks & Recreation is initiating a process to find one preferred trail alignment for the Bruce Vento Regional Trail. A planning study will refine alternative regional trail alignment corridors out of the rail right-of-way.

Rice Creek North Trail community meetings.

Ramsey County Parks & Recreation will amend the 2013 Rice Creek North Regional Trail Master Plan in 2018. The county is launching a public engagement process in June 2018 to develop an updated master plan for the trail. The master plan process will study possible development opportunities and boundary adjustments. 

Provide input at upcoming community meetings.

Meetings will be held at the Ramsey County Library in Mounds View (2576 Moundsview Drive, Mounds View, MN 55112).

As part of this process, a planning survey has been created to obtain public input on the final development concept for Rice Creek North Regional Trail.
