 Chankahda Trail Project - Construction Update
Stage 3A.1 – Begins Friday, August 14
Chankahda Trail will reopen between the Sycamore Lane Roundabout and Northwest Boulevard by Friday, August 14. Chankahda Trail will remain closed between Annapolis Lane and the west leg of the Sycamore Lane Roundabout. The Sycamore Lane Roundabout and Chankahda Trail east of the roundabout to Northwest Boulevard will reopen.
Stage 3B is anticipated to begin in late August.
Below is a summary of construction activities completed this week and planned for next week.
Week of August 10
- Install pedestrian push buttons at the Northwest Boulevard intersection.
- Install signage and pavement markings and prepare the trail for paving between the Sycamore Lane Roundabout and Northwest Boulevard.
- Pave the trail along Northwest Boulevard.
- Construct the road base and install curb and gutter between Yucca Lane and Sycamore Lane.
- Continue construction of the retaining wall near Highway 494.
Week of August 17
- Continue construction of the retaining wall near Highway 494.
- Pave the trail between the Sycamore Lane Roundabout and Northwest Boulevard.
- Prepare the road for paving and grade the trail between Yucca Lane and Sycamore Lane.
