 Free Kids Fest event set for Aug. 20 in Plymouth
The City of Plymouth is set to hold the annual Kids Fest event 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20 at the Hilde Performance Center, 3500 Plymouth Blvd.
The summer carnival features inflatables, vendor booths, activities and entertainment held on the Hilde stage and surrounding lawn. The event is free and open to the public. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from food trucks at the event.
Activities and Attractions
Event activities and attractions include a STEAM Zone (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math), sponsor activities, inflatables, bounce houses and more.
Stage Entertainment
Kidsdance, an interactive DJ service for kids, will take the main stage from 5-7 p.m., playing music and leading interactive dance activities. At 7 p.m., attendees may enjoy a live performance from the School of Rock House Band. The School of Rock music program gives young people the opportunity to join a gigging band made up of fellow musicians from the Plymouth area, providing live performance experience while developing their musical skills.
Free Entertainment Schedule
The Kids Fest entertainment schedule is as follows:
- 5-8 p.m. – Inflatables, vendor booths, STEAM zone and activities
- 5 p.m. – Kidsdance Interactive DJ (Hilde main stage)
- 5:30 p.m. – Dazzlin’ Dave National Yo-Yo Master strolling entertainment
- 6:30 p.m. – Dazzlin’ Dave National Yo-Yo Master stage show (Hilde small stage)
- 7 p.m. – School of Rock House Band (Hilde main stage)
At press time, Kids Fest sponsors included Plymouth Lions, Kyle Vitense State Farm, First Class Plumbing LLC, Gateway Fiber and Sonnet Montessori School.
