Vendor Spotlight: Thompsons' Hillcrest Orchard
With fall in full swing, apples, squash and other seasonal produce is now available at the Plymouth Farmers Market.
Gene and Barbara Thompson started Thompsons’ Hillcrest Orchard in 1996 when their family moved to Elko, Minnesota and planted 200 apple trees. Since then the orchard has grown to over 2,600 trees with 15 varieties of apples, plus pumpkins, squash and a corn maze.
Visitors to the orchard will find both pick-your-own and pre-picked apples and all guests are welcome to stroll around the orchard grounds, which are great for family outings and scenic pictures.
Stop by the Thompsons’ Hillcrest Orchard booth at the market each week to find apples, apple pies, apple sauce, caramel apples, apple batter, apple cider, jams and jellies.
