 36th Avenue Rehabilitation Project Update
36th Avenue is now open to traffic! Work will continue along the shoulders and boulevard areas to complete trail installation and turf restoration. All work on 36th Avenue is scheduled to be finished in October.
Construction Update
Below is a summary of construction activities for this week and a preview of planned work for next week. Please note that all schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions.
This Week - Week of August 25
Phase 1
Phase 2
- Asphalt paving continues on parking lots, side streets, trails, and Kilmer Avenue.
- Concrete sidewalk construction is underway near Plymouth Middle School.
- Striping of the Plymouth Middle School parking lot is taking place.
- Ongoing private utility work.
Looking Ahead - Week of September 1
No work on Monday, September 1 – Labor Day
Phase 2
- Trail grading and signal work continues.
- Topsoil placement and seeding are scheduled.
- Private utility work continues.
Construction Summary
Phase 1 of the 36th Avenue Project is complete (except for the final layer of pavement).
Phase 2 of the 36th Avenue Project is open to traffic. Roadway shoulders will remain closed from the Armstrong High School east entrance to Kilmer Lane as the contractor continues work behind the curb to finish the trails and turf restoration.
