Hamel Road Extension Project Update

A letter was sent on July 1 informing property owners near the project area that the City had awarded a contract to New Look Contracting, Inc. The letter also included contact information for the City’s construction inspector.

Construction is scheduled to begin on July 28, 2025. Initial work will include installing erosion control measures and performing earthwork to build up the new roadway. This will be followed by the installation of storm sewer, placement of the gravel base, construction of curbs, and paving the roadway with asphalt.

The project is expected to be completed in late August.
