 Plymouth Environmental Academy returns for fifth year
Plymouth residents interested in learning more about their environmental footprint may sign up for the Plymouth Environmental Academy, which returns for its fifth year.
The academy will be held over three months with a 90-minute class each month. The courses are aimed at helping residents and property owners identify ways to reduce their environmental impact.
Upcoming sessions include:
- 6 p.m. Aug. 21: Tour of Schmidt Woods Park
- 7 p.m. Sept. 11: Tree care and food production
- 6 p.m. Sept. 25: Plants, ponds and practices for water quality tour
- 7 p.m. Oct. 9: Stormwater practices 101

An initiative of the Plymouth Environmental Quality Committee, the Plymouth Environmental Academy is free and open to everyone – but participants must fill out an application to attend. To apply, visit plymouthmn.gov/environmentalacademy. Applications are due Friday, Aug. 15.
