'Slow – No Wake’ rule for Medicine Lake lifted July 5
The “slow – no wake” rule for boaters on Medicine Lake in Plymouth has been lifted effective Saturday, July 5, and boaters may resume regular activities on the lake.
The order went into effect Tuesday, July 1, due to high water levels caused by recent rain.
The cities of Plymouth and Medicine Lake adopted the “slow - no wake” ordinance to help protect the shoreline when water levels are unusually high.
The order was lifted after readings indicated that the water level remained at or below the 889.4-foot mark for three consecutive days, per city ordinance.
City staff will continue to monitor the lake in the coming days, as the National Weather Service has forecasted additional rainfall.
