Phase 3 Chankahda Trail Project Update

Stage 1A – Vicksburg Lane to Niagara Lane

Phase 3 construction is underway, and Chankahda Trail between Vicksburg Lane and Niagara Lane is closed. The roadway is expected to reopen later this summer. View the detour and staging map.

Below is a summary of construction activities from this week and a preview of planned work for next week. Please note schedules are weather-dependent. Email updates will continue to keep you informed.

Construction Update: Week of June 30

• No work will take place on Friday, July 4^th 
• Construction of roadway and trail base
• Installation of concrete curb, gutter, and pedestrian ramps
• Begin construction of stormwater treatment ponds

Looking Ahead: Week of July 7

• Crews will begin paving the new trail.
• They will also install the first layer of pavement on the new road.

• Work will continue on the stormwater treatment ponds

Please continue to drive slowly and cautiously in the neighborhoods surrounding Chankahda Trail and allow extra time for travel. We appreciate your patience!
