 2025 Street Rehabilitation Project Update
Below is a summary of construction activities for this week and a preview of planned work for next week. Please note that schedules may shift due to weather. Weekly updates will continue to keep you informed.
This Week - Week of June 2
Mission Area:
- Some additional utility work
- Pouring of new concrete curb and gutter (see note in 'Additional Information' section below)
- Asphalt patching
- Topsoil and vegetation restoration
- Private utility relocations
Seven Greens/Silverthorne Area:
- Private utility relocations
6th Avenue:
- Pouring of new concrete curb and gutter
- Replacement of damaged city utilities such as water valves (see note in 'Additional Information' section below)
- Private utility relocations
Looking Ahead - Week of June 9
Mission Area:
- Pouring of new concrete curb and gutter
- Asphalt patching
- Topsoil and vegetation restoration
- Private utility relocations
Seven Greens/Silverthorne Area:
- Private utility relocations
6th Avenue:
- Reconstructing the gravel road section
- Paving the first layer of asphalt
Carlson Parkway, between I-494 and County Road 61:
- Setting up traffic control devices and detour signs
- Replacement of damaged city utilities
- Removal of damaged curb and gutter removal
- Private utility relocations
Additional Information
Water Outage Notice – Mission and 6th Avenue Areas
Some properties in the Mission and 6th Avenue areas will experience a 6-8 hour water outage during utility replacement work. Affected residents will receive a paper notice with additional details and anticipated outage times for each property.
Note about Newly Poured Concrete
Newly poured concrete curb and gutter should not be driven on for 7 days. Residents in the Mission and 6th Avenue areas are allowed to park on the street if needed during this time.
