 Plymouth Fire Department shares recreational fire safety guidelines
As warmer weather approaches, the Plymouth Fire Department offers safety tips and reminders about the ordinances pertaining to recreational fires (bonfires) in Plymouth. Below are the highlights:

Size limit: Fires must be no larger than 3 feet in diameter and 3 feet in height.

Safe distance: Keep fires at least 25 feet away from any structure, and make sure the area within a 5-foot radius is clear of combustible materials.

Be prepared: Always have fire extinguishing equipment nearby. This can include a fire extinguisher, garden hose or other fire-suppressing tools.

What not to burn: Do not burn flammable liquids, yard waste, garbage, plastic, furniture, construction materials or treated wood.
