MnDOT Update: Westbound Highway 55 closure rescheduled
The Minnesota Department of Transportation has postponed the closure of westbound Highway 55 between Highway 169 and Interstate 494, which was originally scheduled to begin Thursday, Oct. 17.
The closure now begins 2 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23 and the roadway is expected to reopen 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1.
Those traveling in the area may use southbound Highway 169 to westbound I-394 to northbound I-494 as a detour. View a map of the detour (PDF).
Eastbound Highway 55 is set to reopen as scheduled at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Intersections at Highway 55
During the closure, signalized intersections at Highway 55 between Highway 169 and I-494 will remain open with limited access, though motorists should expect significant delays. The unsignalized intersections at Larch Lane N., Ives Lane N., Goldenrod Lane N. and Evergreen Lane N. will retain access to the open direction of Highway 55. The median at Industrial Boulevard will remain closed during both closures.
Teakwood Lane N. Closure Ends Oct. 19
MnDOT has closed a portion of Teakwood Lane N. in Plymouth, which is set to reopen 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19.
