Construction Update - November 3
The Gleason Lake Drive and Vicksburg Lane intersection opened to traffic on September 1. Minor items remain to be completed. Other intersections along the project corridor will periodically be closed to allow for construction activities. The contractor will maintain access to owners in the area, but delays should be anticipated during construction work.
Phase 1A, 1B, and 2 – Kingsview Lane & Gleason Lake Drive between Vicksburg Lane and Niagara Lane The contractor was delayed in their paving operation. The contractor is planning to put down the final layer of asphalt late next week or early the week of November 13.
Phase 3 - Gleason Lake Drive between Niagara Lane and Carlson Parkway The contractor is behind the original projected schedule. However, they are still expecting to have asphalt down this year. The contractor is done with the earth/gravel work.
Concrete curb is anticipated to be poured November 3 through November 6 (weather dependent). You will not have access to your driveway and vehicles cannot be parked on Gleason Lake Drive until the curb and gutter is installed. Any vehicles left on Gleason Lake Drive during the curb installation process may be towed.
Please do not drive on the new concrete for 7 days while it cures/hardens. You will be able to park on one side of the street in front of your home during non-construction hours. While the curb is curing vehicles will not be ticketed or towed.
Please park all vehicles on the EVEN numbered side of the street to allow for traffic to navigate the roadway, and please notify any visitors to your house of these access and parking restrictions.
We appreciate your patience as we work to complete this portion of the project as quickly and safely as possible.
