Construction Update - September 15
Phase 2 (Nathan Lane, 56th Avenue, and Hwy 169 Service Drive north of 54th Avenue)
The contractor finished patching driveways and most of the curb installation. Next week the contractor will continue concrete work with curb installation at Nathan Lane and 56th Avenue and at Nathan Lane near Bass Lake Road. The contractor will then pave the final lift of bituminous along the 169 Service Road, Nathan Lane (54th Avenue to Nathan Lane), and the east end of 56th Avenue. The remaining pavement on Nathan Lane will also be removed. The contractor will then prepare the road for paving the first lift of asphalt later next week or early the following week.
The intersection at 56th Avenue and Nathan Lane is currently closed and will be until construction is complete at the realigned intersection. Access to businesses and residences in the Nathan Area north of 56th Ave will remain open to traffic from Bass Lake Rd. For businesses and residences south of 56th Ave, access will remain open to traffic from Schmidt Lake Rd. No vehicles will be able to pass through the intersection of 56th Ave and Nathan Ln until further notice. Delays should be anticipated during construction with narrowed roadways and detours in and around the project area.
A project help line has been established for resident questions or concerns during construction; the help line number is (763) 331-8619.
