Construction Update September 1
The Gleason Lake Drive and Vicksburg Lane intersection is now open to traffic. There are still some minor items to complete in this intersection, but access is open beginning September 1st.
Other intersections along the project corridor will still be periodicity closed to allow for construction activities. The contractor will maintain access to owners who live along the project. However, there may be some delays if you are coming and going during the working hours.
Sod has been installed on Phase 1B and Phase 2. The contractor will be responsible for the sod for 30 growing days. Towards the end of the warranty period project staff will inspect the sod and have deficient areas replaced. After the 30-day warranty period, the property owner will be responsible for ongoing care and maintenance of the sod.
The city would like to emphasize the importance of continued watering and maintenance of the new sod so that proper growth is maintained. Some sod takes a few years before it is fully established to the hearty condition of the rest of your lawn. Please visit the project webpage for guidelines to help care for new sod.
Phase 2 - Gleason Lake Drive between Vicksburg Lane and Ranchview Lane The contractor has opened the Vicksburg intersection. Only minor punch list items remain in this phase.
Phase 3 - Gleason Lake Drive between Niagara Lane and Carlson Parkway The temporary waterline has passed drinking safety testing. Owners can expect to be switched to the temporary water service and for utility work to being early next week.
