 Construction Update - August 4
Phase 1 (54th Avenue and Hwy 169 Service Drive south of 54th Avenue)
The contractor paved the final layer of asphalt in Phase 1 (54th Avenue and Hwy 169 Service Drive from 54th Avenue to Schmidt Lake Road) earlier this week and worked on turf restoration behind the curb. After this week, Phase 1 will be substantially complete, and the Hwy 169 Service Drive at the Schmidt Lake Road intersection will be open with the new turn lane configuration.
Phase 2 (Nathan Lane, 56th Avenue, and Hwy 169 Service Drive north of 54th Avenue)
The contractor is scheduled to begin work on Phase 2 starting Monday, August 7, with pavement removals. The intersection of 56th Avenue and Nathan Lane will also be closed beginning Monday, August 7. Concrete curb work will also begin later next week.
Access to businesses and residences in the Nathan Area north of 56th Avenue will remain open to traffic from Bass Lake Road. For businesses and residences south of 56th Avenue, access will remain open to traffic from Schmidt Lake Road. However, delays should be anticipated during construction with narrowed roadways and detours in and around the project area.
