 Construction Update - July 28
Phase 1 (54th Avenue and Hwy 169 Service Drive south of 54th Avenue)
Construction continued in Phase 1 (54th Avenue and Hwy 169 Service Drive from 54th Avenue to Schmidt Lake Road) this week with restoration behind the curb and prep work for final paving next week. Final paving is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, August 1. The contractor will also seed all disturbed areas in Phase 1 next week. The Hwy 169 Service Drive will remain closed at the Schmidt Lake Road intersection until after the final layer of asphalt is paved.
Phase 2 (Nathan Lane, 56th Avenue, and Hwy 169 Service Drive north of 54th Avenue)
Work in Phase 2 is set to begin Monday, August 7, with pavement removals. The intersection of 56th Avenue and Nathan Lane will be closed beginning the week of August 7. Access to businesses and residences in the Nathan Area will remain open to traffic by using Bass Lake Road and Nathan Lane or by using Schmidt Lake Road/Nathan Lane/51st Avenue. Delays should be anticipated during construction with narrowed roadways and detours in and around the project area.
