Construction Update July 21
The Gleason Lake Drive and Vicksburg Lane intersection remains closed to traffic. The posted detour includes County Road 6, Interstate 494, and Highway 12. During construction, access will be maintained for the local adjacent neighborhoods on Townes Road and Black Oaks Lane via Gleason Lake Road to the south, but access may change as construction progresses.
Additional intersections along the project corridor will be periodically closed to allow for construction activities. The contractor will maintain access to property owners who live in the project area, however, delays can be expected during construction activity.
Phase 2 - Gleason Lake Drive between Vicksburg Lane and Ranchview Lane Gravel work is expected for the week of July 24th.
Phase 1B - Gleason Lake Drive between Ranchview Lane and Niagara Lane The contactor is expecting to install the pedestrian ramps, and temporarily seed and stabilize the soil the week of July 24th. Sod will be installed in this area later in the summer when it is less hot, which will provide better conditions for vegetation establishment.
Phase 1A - Niagara Lane The contractor plans to finish concrete work on Niagara Lane the week of July 24th. Please avoid walking or driving on the concrete while it is hardening.
Phase 3 - Gleason Lake Drive between Niagara Lane and Carlson Parkway Tree removals in the right-of-way were completed this week.
Phase 3A - Gleason Lake Drive between Niagara Lane and Juneau Lane Pavement removal and utility work will begin the week of July 24th. Properties will be connected to a temporary water service for the utility work. As a reminder, the contractor will need to enter homes to shut off the main water valve supplying each home. Turning off the main water valve should take approximately 5 minutes.
