 Construction Update July 21
Phase 2A update - 34th Avenue/35th Avenue loop west of Plymouth Blvd.
The contractor finished paving and restoration work this week. This phase of the project will be substantially complete after this week and only minor clean up and punch list items will remain.
Phase 2B update – 36th Avenue
The contractor started work on 36th Avenue this week with pavement removals. Next week, the contractor will begin utility work including storm sewer work and hydrant replacements. The roadway will remain open to traffic, but delays should be anticipated as the road may be reduced to one lane with flaggers.
There will be times when traffic will not be able to get through 36th Avenue from Vicksburg Lane to Plymouth Blvd because of utility work, but at least one driveway access to all businesses and residences will remain open throughout construction.
Phase 2C update – 37th Avenue
Next week, the contractor plans to begin pavement removals on 37th Avenue. Utility work may also occur later in the week with hydrant replacements. The roadway will remain open to traffic, but delays should be anticipated as the road may be reduced to one lane with flaggers.
