 Construction Update - July 21
Construction continued in Phase 1 (54th Avenue and Hwy 169 Service Drive from 54th Avenue to Schmidt Lake Road) this week with asphalt paving and restoration behind the curb. The intersection of 54th Avenue and Hwy 169 Service Drive is now open to local traffic. The Hwy 169 Service Drive will remain closed at the Schmidt Lake Road intersection until the final layer of asphalt is paved, which is tentatively scheduled for the first week in August.
Next week, the contractor will continue turf restoration behind the curb and will prepare the streets for the final layer of asphalt paving scheduled for the following week.
Access to businesses and residences in the Nathan Area will remain open to traffic by using Bass Lake Road and Nathan Lane or by using Schmidt Lake Road/Nathan Lane/51st Avenue. However, delays should be anticipated during construction with narrowed roadways and detours in and around the project area.
