Construction Update July 14
Phase 2A - 34th Avenue/35th Avenue loop west of Plymouth Blvd. The contractor finished concrete curb and gutter, driveways, and sidewalk work this week. They also milled the top of the existing pavement and patched the milled surface. On Monday, July 17, the contractor will install the final layer of pavement. The roadway will remain open to traffic, but delays should be anticipated as the road may be reduced to one lane with flaggers.
Phase 2B – 36th Avenue The contractor plans to start work on 36th Avenue next Wednesday, July 19. Spot pavement removals and utility work are scheduled to begin the following week. The roadway will remain open to traffic, but delays should be anticipated as the road may be reduced to one lane with flaggers. There will be times when traffic will not be able to get through 36th Avenue from Vicksburg Lane to Plymouth Blvd because of utility work, but at least one driveway access to all businesses and residences will remain open throughout construction.
Phase 2C – 37th Avenue Later next week, the contractor plans to start preparation work on 37th Avenue and will continue with spot pavement removals the following week. Utility work will begin on 37th Avenue when utility work is complete on 36th Avenue. The roadway will remain open to traffic, but delays should be anticipated as the road may be reduced to one lane with flaggers.
