 Construction Update July 7
The Gleason Lake Drive and Vicksburg Lane intersection remains closed to traffic. The posted detour includes County Road 6, Interstate 494, and Highway 12. During construction access will be maintained for the local adjacent neighborhoods on Townes Road and Black Oaks Lane via Gleason Lake Road to the south, but access may change as construction progresses.
The contractor has finished connecting water services on Gleason Lake Drive between Vicksburg Lane and Ranchview Lane. Work begins today on the storm sewer in this area, with plans to finish by middle of next week.
Paving has begun on Gleason Lake Drive between Ranchview Lane and Niagara Lane. The base layer of pavement (lower pavement section) has been placed in this phase. The wear course layer (surface/upper pavement section) section will be put down later in the summer/fall to prevent damage to it during construction. Trail construction and restoration of driveways in this phase are planned for next week.
