Art piece displayed at the Open Arts Studio gallery: "Irises in Abstract." Artist: Sharyn Resvick
Group Spotlight: Open Arts Studio
The Open Arts Studio group was established in 2000, the year the original Plymouth Creek Center building opened. The group meets Friday mornings from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. year round. While this is an open studio gathering with no formal teaching, the members do learn from each other and enjoy the camaraderie. Bring your own art supplies and enjoy creative time with others. The group has artists experienced with many different mediums including painting with watercolor and acrylic, drawing with graphite, pen and ink, or colored pencils, and creatives who make sculptures from other materials. Experience levels vary from beginner to those who have taught classes. -Karen Rathke, Open Arts Studio member
New members are welcome to join anytime. A newer member shared "The Open Arts Studio group is an inviting place to get advice and pointers. It gets me out of the house and motivates me to keep up with painting." Register for open arts studio
