 Construction Update - June 23
The contractor started construction in Phase 1 (54th Avenue and Hwy 169 Service Drive from 54th Avenue to Schmidt Lake Road) this week with pavement removals. Storm sewer installation and water valve repairs in Phase 1 will begin on Monday along with concrete curb work.
The Hwy 169 Service Drive is currently closed at Schmidt Lake Road. Schmidt Lake Road has been reduced to one lane in each direction to complete the work in the area including pavement removals, storm sewer installation, curb realignment, and paving. It is anticipated the lane closures on Schmidt Lake Road will be in place for the next couple of weeks. Access to businesses and residences in the Nathan Area will remain open to traffic by using Bass Lake Road and Nathan Lane.
Significant delays can be anticipated during construction with narrowed roadways and detours in and around the project area, so please plan accordingly and use alternate routes if possible.
