 Construction Update - June 14
The contractor for Phase 2 of the Chankahda Trail Reconstruction Project has installed concrete curb and gutter at the Vicksburg Lane intersection. Paving of the intersection is underway with the opening of the intersection to traffic scheduled for later this month. The contractor is also continuing to install storm sewer between Vicksburg Lane and Archer Lane.
On Thursday, June 15th, the contractor will install temporary piping to divert Elm Creek. They will also install temporary dirt berms on both sides of the road at Elm Creek. This work is to prepare for the replacement of the box culvert at Elm Creek and road reconstruction scheduled for later this summer and fall. This preliminary work will go into next and will require a lane closure. The contractor will maintain one lane of access for local residents with flaggers but delays should be anticipated.
