 Construction Update - June 9
Work continues on Fernbrook Lane from Highway 55 to just north of 25th Avenue. Crews have removed old pavement and are repairing underground watermain valves. Trail construction and preparation to pour concrete curb and gutter in the spot repair locations have begun. The road closure is anticipated to remain in place until early July, but the contractor plans to work Saturdays to try to minimize the closure time. Detours are posted and all businesses in the area have access. A detour route can be found on the project webpage under Additional Information.
Roadway work in the Cimarron East neighborhood and Fernbrook Lane south of 25th Avenue will occur later in the summer. Notification of the anticipated start date will be sent closer to that time.
The contractor will return to the Cornerstone area during the week of June 12 to perform spot concrete repairs. To minimize disruption, concrete curb and gutter to be repaired will be removed right before it is replaced. Mill and overlay of the pavement are anticipated for July.
