 Phase 1B Construction Update
This week the contractor completed curb and sidewalk installation and began restoration on 34th Avenue near the Plymouth Community Center. Next week restoration will continue, and the contractor plans to grade the road to prepare for paving.
The following schedule is anticipated: Monday (6/12) irrigation system repairs near the new sidewalk at the Plymouth Community Center; Tuesday (6/13) milling to remove excess material on 34th Avenue; Wednesday (6/14) paving the trail in front of the Plymouth Community Center. Towards the end of the week the contractor will pave the first blacktop lift on 34th Avenue.
The roadway will remain open to traffic during the grading and concrete work, but delays should be anticipated as the road may be reduced to one lane with flaggers. Access to the Plymouth Community Center, businesses, and residences will be maintained throughout construction. Traffic is encouraged to access 34th Avenue from the east off Fernbrook Lane.
