 Construction Update June 1
The contractor is currently installing new water services and storm sewer on Gleason Lake Drive between Ranchview Lane and Niagara Lane. This work will carry into next week with water main and services being installed on Niagara Lane. Next week the contractor will start roadway excavation on Gleason Lake Drive between Ranchview Lane and Niagara Lane. This work involves removing the existing roadway materials and installing new sand and gravel that will support the new roadway.
The contractor is planning on starting construction on a portion of Phase 2 next week. This area includes Gleason Lake Drive from approximately 450 feet east of Vicksburg Lane to Ranchview Lane. Initial work will include pavement removals and setting up temporary water main in preparation of installation of the new water main. Tree removals in all of Phase 2 is anticipated to start next week as well. The Vicksburg Lane intersection will remain open to northbound and southbound traffic until construction starts in the remainder of Phase 2 in the coming weeks.
Gleason Lake Drive is closed to thru traffic between Vicksburg Lane and Carlson Parkway. Access will be maintained for local residents but delays may occur based on construction activity. A signed detour route is posted.
