Construction Update - May 25
Construction for Phase 1A (34th Ave, from the Plymouth Community Center to Fernbrook Ln) will be substantially completed this week with the final paving of the roadway. No work will occur on Monday (5/29) for the Memorial Day holiday. On Tuesday (5/30) the Contractor is scheduled to begin spot curb and sidewalk removals in Phase 1B (34th Ave, from the Plymouth Community Center to Plymouth City Hall). On Wednesday (5/31) the Contractor is scheduled to reclaim (grind up) the existing asphalt roadway. Later next week, utility work will begin including water valve repairs. Concrete work in Phase 1B will either start later next week or the following week.
The roadway will remain open to traffic during the reclaiming process and utility work, but delays should be anticipated as the road may be reduced to one lane with flaggers. Access to the Plymouth Community Center, businesses, and residences will be maintained throughout construction, but traffic will be encouraged to access 34th Ave from the east off Fernbrook Ln starting next week.
A project help line has been established for resident questions or concerns during construction; the help line number is (763) 330-1312. Alternatively, residents can contact the construction observer Arianna Christian at 612-398-8949, or project manager Nick Amatuccio at 612-965-3926 or email nickam@bolton-menk.com.
