 Construction to Begin on 2023 Street Rehabilitation Project
The city has awarded the contract for the 2023 Street Rehabilitation Project which includes the mill and overlay of the Cornerstone Area and Cimarron East neighborhoods, and full depth reclamation of Fernbrook Lane from Highway 55 to County Road 6.
The contractor anticipates starting minor construction in the Cornerstone Area on Thursday, May 18th, and performing underground utility repairs beginning on Monday, May 22nd. Utility repairs and spot curb and gutter replacement will continue into early July. Access will be maintained for local traffic but motorists may experience delays from construction activity. Please proceed with caution through the area.
The contractor will tentatively start work Tuesday, May 30th on Fernbrook Lane, between Highway 55 and 25th Avenue. Private utility crews have already begun working in the area in preparation for the street project. More notification will be provided as the construction start date nears.
Work on Cimarron East, and Fernbrook Lane south of 25th Avenue will occur later in the summer. Notification of the anticipated start date will be sent closer to that time.
