Phase 1 Construction Update
The contractor for the County Road 47 project is currently excavating the roadway from Walnut Grove to Troy Lane and installing storm sewer. The contractor plans on starting stage 2 of the project, which includes County Road 47 from Troy Lane to Peony Lane, on Thursday, June 16th. As a result, County Road 47 will be closed to traffic from Brockton Lane to Peony Lane. A detour route consisting of Peony Lane, Highway 55, and Brockton Lane will be posted and is also available to view under Additional Information on the project page. The contractor will also post signage providing advance notice of the closure.
Access for neighborhoods adjacent to the north side of County Road 47 will be maintained via Troy Lane and Peony Lane. The intersection of County Road 47 and Troy Lane will be constructed under traffic to allow traffic to cross County Road 47 and utilize Troy Lane. A section of Troy Lane in the vicinity of 56th Place is currently closed to traffic while a developer constructs improvements for the future Carlson Ridge development. This section of Troy Lane will be opened to traffic on June 16th to allow for traffic to pass through. While this section of Troy Lane will be open to traffic, construction will not yet be completed. Residents can anticipate a gravel driving surface and traffic restricted to one lane with flaggers when construction is active until the work is substantially completed shortly thereafter.
