 County Road 47 Reconstruction – Phase 1 Update
Work to excavate the roadway and install sand and gravel on County Road 47 between Brockton Lane and Walnut Grove continues as well as excavation for a storm water filtration basin adjacent to Troy Lane. Next week the contractor plans to start installation of storm sewer between Walnut Grove and Troy Lane.
The contractor anticipates starting construction on stage 2 of Phase 1 on June 10th, which includes County Road 47 from Troy Lane to Peony Lane. As a result, County Road 47 will be closed to traffic from Brockton Lane to Peony Lane. A detour route consisting of Peony Lane, Highway 55, and Brockton Lane will be posted and is also available to view on the project webpage. Access for adjacent neighborhoods to the north of County Road 47 will be maintained via the intersection at Troy Lane. The contractor will post signage providing advance notice of this closure at the end of next week.
