 2021 Street Rehabilitation Project Construction Update
The contractor has milled the roadway in the Fazendin neighborhood and has scheduled paving of the asphalt overlay for Wednesday, June 30th. On-street parking will be restricted to allow for the contractor to pave the overlay. The asphalt overlay can be driven over shortly after placement after it is compacted by the contractor. Please exercise caution when driving through the work area and follow the direction of construction crews. After placement of the overlay the work in the neighborhood will be substantially completed with the exception of restoration, which has been hampered by the recent warm weather and drought conditions. The contractor will reseed areas with poor establishment later in the summer/fall when conditions improve.
Installation of concrete curb and gutter has been completed in Phase C2 (26th Avenue, 28th Avenue, Ranchview Lane) and the contractor is currently removing the excess gravel from the roadway. The contractor will work on grading the roadway this week and anticipates paving the initial layer of pavement during the middle of next week.
In Phase C1 (Medina Road) the contractor is working on trail grading.
